Colossians 4:5- Walk ( Live ) in wisdom toward them ( unbelievers ) that are without, redeeming the time.
I will confess that at times I loose sight of the fact that I am a representative of Jesus Christ full time and that I must discipline myself with the help and grace of the Spirit of God and steadfast prayer.
If we are lights in this world as Jesus said, that means those living in darkness are constantly observing the fruits of the SEED (Jesus Christ) we claim is planted within us to see if it be true light or hypocrisy.
The Christian life is not for professors alone or hearers alone but for those who hear, profess and put into action what we preach. It is critical to take our Christian life very serious in and out of the house/church and aggressively discipline ourselves, practice self control, being kind, gentle, meek and ruled by the unconditional love of our Almighty God.
Many of us have tainted our ministry with the outside world due to falling into various temptations, backsliding, hypocrisy and other unbecoming behaviors, listen Christians, one of our core practice as believers is conviction, confession and repentance, observe:
Psalms 51:17- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
See, this Psalm describes God paying more attention to the person who’s heart is broken and cries out to God because they know they have sinned against Him greatly. So I say to you my brothers and sisters in the LORD, let us be very sensitive towards the Spirit of God that dwells within so He be not grieved.
Not only are we to watch how we carry ourselves before unbelievers but we are also called to make much of every opportunity that presents itself to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, yet our lifestyle must match the gospel we preach, Fear God and repent.
